4. Working with Automation
By setting Automation YMCK Player automatically change the key/scale as you programmed. The Automation can be set to individual songs. Once the Automation is set, YMCK Player automatically recalls the Automation data everytime the song is selected and you can immediately play with the key/scale you assigned. *I'm sorry the function of editing Automation is very primitive so far. I hope I can improve it in future releases.
4.1 Automation Edit Screen
On
Automation Edit Screen you can edit the Automation data.
Automation is written in plain text format.
The operation to write text on the editor is the same as iPhone/iPod Touch's standard operation.
*Automation Edit Screen appears in Portrait direction because the list of data tends to extend vertically.

4.4 Caution and
Tips about Automation
[caution] The place Automation data is saved
The Automation data is stored in YMCK Player's application data, apart from your iPod Library's music data. Therefore, once you uninstall YMCK Player all the Automation data will be removed along with the application itself. Be sure to make backups often, especially when you're making a big amount of data. You can make backups by copying the text on the Automation Edit Screen and send it by email etc.
[Tips]
To make complex automation data, it's better to edit the text on your PC with certain kind of spread sheet application first, then transfer it via email or your personal server. It is also a good way to make backups.
[Tips]
When opening Automation Edit Screen for the song with no automation data yet, YMCK Player automatically insert current key and scale as the first data. If the song requires only one key/scale, and had already found it on the main screen, just open Automation Edit Screen, press [Done] and you can finish setting Automation.
